Three Irish Jigs – Violin Trio

Categories: ,

Instrumentation: Violins 1, 2 & 3

Using the same three jigs as the folk band arrangement of this title, i.e. “Haste to the Wedding”, “Irish Washerwoman” and “Shandon Bells”, this continues the recent group of small-scale arrangements for three violins (or groups of violins) where the players have achieved similar standards of ability.

For some reason, the audio stops at the end of each tune rather than playing all three seamlessly: obviously, a performance would not do this!

Feel free to play each tune more than once or return to the opening tune to end the set.

As well as within a purely instrumental context, this could be used as a GCSE Ensemble submission.
