Family Jigs

£4.45

Description

This is an arrangement for String Quartet of Jigs I composed between 1983 and 1998. The title of each is linked to a family member: the first uses the initials of my wife’s maiden name to give Just My Luck, the second a Jig for my first son – a Jig for James – and the final one is for my second son, marking his first day at school Off to Esh.

The parts can all be played in 1st position, though there is some chromaticism. It is aimed at general ensemble work tough would also be appropriate for a concert or as part of a submission for GCSE Performing. The given tempo indication is approximate and the arrangement can, if preferred, be played faster.

The download contains PDFs of the score and each part plus a recording via Sibelius.
