Description

This is another in my series of variable arrangements and, in this case, shares much in common with another new one – The Mingulay Boat Song. Both are based on the same traditional Gaelic melody, but the second has a vocal line as well.

Lochaber is arranged for Flutes 1 & 2 / Descant Recorder, Clarinet in C / Bb, Violin, Accordion / Piano / Guitar and Bass, though these instruments can be adapted to suit the resources available. It is a lovely melody. The download comprises each individual part and a full score. Do check out the vocal version as well. it can be used as a Concert piece, for Ensemble work or as art of a GCSE Performing submission, ensuring that rules regarding doubling of parts are adhered to.
