Three Irish Jigs are arranged here for three flutes of roughly equal abilities, with the melody lines and accompaniment figures being shared roughly evenly amongst them.
Flautists would need to be of approximately Grade 5 standard. These are, first and foremost, dance tunes and should be played with a strong sense of rhythmic drive. They are also to be enjoed, whether by players, audience or dancers.
The arrangement is suitable as a Concert item as well as for Ensemble music for any of the major GCSE examination boards.
Other pieces in this series include Air and Three Irish Reels.
