Scotch on the Rocks

I cannot remember when I first heard this catchy tune: all I do know is that I couldn’t get it out of my head.

It was originally arranged for the Wind Band I ran at the school in Newcastle where I taught for 22 years. I subsequently revised it (2004) and then further updated it (2017) as it appears now, reflecting a line-up in common with most of the other Wind Band arrangements available on this website.

It really is “ear-worm” music!

It is not exceptionally challenging as it is played at a moderate March tempo and the main melody is shared out amongst woodwind, brass and basses to ensure each is given a chance to shine. I am sure that you, your band and any audiences will enjoy this – past experience tells me so.
