Flute Trio – Three Irish Reels

Three Irish Reels are used as the basis for this arrangement for 3 flutes of roughly equal ability. Melody lines and accompaniment figures are shared between them as the piece progresses.

It is intended as music suitable as a Concert item, for general ensemble music within a group of flute players and as material suitable for submission in the Ensemble section of the GCSE Performing part for all major GCSE examination boards.

Primarily, it is dance music and, as such, should be played with a string sense of rhythmic drive, but, equally, for enjoyment.

Other in this series include the Air and Three Irish Jigs.
