This is an orchestral arrangement of four original folk dance melodies, written across a 20-year period. They are also available, alongside many others, in my two volumes of Rigs and Jeels, also on this site.
The arrangement is for a slightly-enlarged orchestra, including also and tenor saxophones plus lead and bass guitars. The pieces within the arrangement are:
Fallen Leaves 1983; The Lodore Waltz 2000; Southey Street Jig 1994 and Spike’s Reel 1982, rev. 2000
As these are dance tunes, there should be a sense of lift in all, with a cantabile style adopted for the waltz.
The download includes PDFs of the score and all 25 individual parts alongs recordings of the excerpt and the full arrangement via Sibelius.
